After a year of preparation, the test version of the ROC system was installed in the Observatory earlier this month for testing. Preliminary tests of the system have been good. |

A month of cloudy skies! I expect we will start to see some more consistent clear skies once the cold weather settles in. The challenge for most people to get out and enjoy the skies this time of year is the cold. So for the last month, I decide to take advantage of the poor seeing and put the energy into trying to complete writing the Robotic Observatory Control (ROC) software. (this explains the few updates on the web site) So far so good, a few more modules to test and complete. If all goes as planned, I expect to start using it right after Christmas. |
