The Meteor Shower Open house was a great success

For those that ventured out we had a great view of a number of deep sky objects , a look at the space station flying over and then a long nite of meteors...a great nite...thanks to all who came and enjoyed the show.

The Perseid Meteor Shower will peaking on Sunday Night, but incase the weather does not cooperate I have also scheduled a Friday session.  I will be starting 9:30 both evenings.  If your coming for the Meteor shower, bring a comfortable lawn chair and sit back and watch the sky from a fairly dark sky.

Saturn is gone until winter, but Jupiter is still up.  We can have a look at its storm bands and its moons  There will be no moon glow to worry about so we can have a look at a number of deep sky objects (see my gallery), I will post a map in the gallery section on how to get to the observatory site.

Everyone welcome, its free!Smile
